This RHS AGM variety has a neat, bushy habit that’s just perfect for planting at the front of herbaceous borders. From July to September, large clusters of dramatic, purple-pink flowers, each with a contrasting white eye, are produced on sturdy upright stems. The richly scented blooms are a magnet for bees and butterflies, and make fine cut flowers for summer bouquets. This hardy perennial is a classic cottage garden plant, showing particularly good disease resistance. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

How to Grow

Grow phlox plants in any fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi-shade. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting.

Feed and water regularly, particularly during dry periods, until young phlox plants are fully established. After flowering, lightly shear the stems to encourage lots of fresh new growth.
