Description
You can see where this pretty variety gets its name - Petunia 'Sweetunia Starfish' is covered with veined, lilac blooms, each with a contrasting white star that radiates from the centre of each flower. This pretty variety has compact, trailing stems that create a full, bushy display. The blooms are self-cleaning so there’s no need for sticky dead-heading. The ‘Sweetunia’ series are hardworking, reliable and versatile. Grow them in beds, baskets, window boxes or patio pots – wherever you plant them, you can rely on a fabulous garden performance. Height and spread: 30cm (12").

How to Grow
Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Alternatively, plant plugs directly into flower pouches. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise petunias to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
More Info
Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer. Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods.
