Description
Foxgloves are well loved hardy perennials because they are undemanding and easy to grow which makes them perfect for dotting through borders or planted in the dappled shade of trees. The upright flower spikes always attract bees, making Digitalis ideal for planting in wildlife areas and no cottage garden is complete without them. Our collection is the perfect way to get your hands on these super hardy perennials at a fantastic price. These Foxglove plugs can be potted up and grown on ready to be planted out in autumn. Once established they will seed about and multiply, popping up to fill gaps in borders, or meandering along the shaded edges of woodlands.

To allow us to offer you such a good price, we can't take orders for specific varieties, but whatever we decide to send, you won't be disappointed! Please note, the varieties you will receive may differ from those illustrated. Image is for illustration purposes only.

How to Grow
Pot up digitalis plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them in borders and containers in sun or partial shade. Although foxgloves prefer a fertile, moist soil, they will happily tolerate almost any soil except those that are excessively dry or waterlogged.
More Info
Water foxglove plants regularly until fully established. Foxgloves self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead stems of foxglove flowers as the blooms fade. In autumn, cut back old stems to encourage plenty of new side shoots. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, toxic if eaten.
