Camellias are a highlight of the spring garden delivering a luxuriant display of flowers from as early as February. These evergreen beauties are prized for their large blooms and eye-catching colours that stand out beautifully against a backdrop of lustrous, dark green foliage. Our Nurseryman’s Choice Camellias allow you to enjoy these exquisite shrubs at a fraction of the usual price. To allow us to offer you such a good price, we can't take orders for specific varieties, but whatever we decide to send, you won't be disappointed.
Images are for illustration purposes only. Please note, the varieties you will receive may differ from those illustrated.
Culinary note: The flowers can be used as garnishes but are also dried and then cooked in Asian cuisine. For more details about edible flowers click here.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Water regularly until plants are fully established. Where possible, use rainwater as the lime contained in tap water will reduce the acidity in the soil over time. Feed Camellias occasionally with fertiliser for acid-loving plants. Protect plants from cold winter winds and strong early morning sunlight, as this may cause the buds to drop in early spring.
Camellias will appreciate an autumn mulch to protect their roots from winter cold. Camellias require little pruning other than to maintain their shape. Lightly trim stems and remove faded blooms immediately after flowering.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
