Description

This stunning duo of Grape Hyacinth creates a fabulous colour mix for spring gardens. Muscari are well-loved for their conical flower heads of deep blue flowers. Our Muscari Duo includes the new pink variety, Muscari ‘Pink Sunrise’, which contrasts perfectly with the more traditional Muscari armeniacum. Perfect for the front of cottage garden borders, edging paths and rockeries, or planting into large troughs. These low-growing bulbs will gradually spread to form a carpet of ground cover. They make delightful cut flowers too. Height: 20cm (8"). Spread: 20cm (8").

  • Grape Hyacinth Duo comprises:
  • 10 x bulbs Muscari ‘Pink Sunrise’
  • 85 x bulbs Muscari armeniacum

1 collection (85 armeniacum & 10 pink sunrise bulbs) (KB1630)

How to Grow
For the best effect, plant muscari bulbs in large groups. Grape hyacinth plants prefer a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, well drained, fertile soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 5cm (2") apart.
More Info
Allow the foliage of Muscari plants to die back naturally as this will help to feed the bulbs for the following year. Overcrowded clumps can be lifted and divided in summer while the bulbs are dormant.
