Description
Miscanthus sinesis 'Strictus' is a deciduous perennial grass that makes a fine ornamental feature in borders, adding height, colour and texture to planting schemes. Slender leaves with a spiky, upright habit are intersected by prominent gold bands. This clump forming grass produces tall stems topped with silvery flower plumes from late summer, which make a fabulous feature if left in place throughout the winter months. Awarded an RHS AGM, Miscanthus sinesis 'Strictus' is reliable and easy to grow. Height: 2m (6’). Spread: 60cm (2’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Miscanthus grass in fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun. Miscanthus Grass may resent soils that sit wet in winter. Prior to planting, improve drainage on particularly heavy soils by incorporating plenty of well rotted compost and grit.
More Info
Feed and water Miscanthus plants regularly until fully established. Cut back dead foliage and stems to ground level in early spring before new growth appears. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Miscanthus grass every third year to maintain their vigour.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
