Description
For unusual silver hues in beds and borders in late summer, look no further than Miscanthus sinensis 'Silberspinne'. Tall stems, that are ideal for cutting and adding to an indoor floral display, will produce long, feathery panicles of flowers that start off with a bronze tint, then fade to a silvery finish by autumn. Following a long, hot summer, the flower stems will be even more numerous than usual on this hardy perennial grass, giving a more impressive display when other plants may have struggled in the heat. Height: 120cm (47"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Miscanthus grass in fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun. Miscanthus Grass may resent soils that sit wet in winter. Prior to planting, improve drainage on particularly heavy soils by incorporating plenty of well rotted compost and grit.
More Info
Feed and water Miscanthus plants regularly until fully established. Cut back dead foliage and stems to ground level in early spring before new growth appears. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Miscanthus grass every third year to maintain their vigour.
