Honeyberries are highly regarded for their antioxidants and high vitamin levels. These hardy deciduous shrubs make an excellent addition to kitchen gardens, and have plenty of ornamental value in the border too. Honeyberry plants are self fertile but planting them in close proximity to one another will improve pollination and increase your crop of tasty fruits. Height: 1.5m (5'). Spread: 1.2m (4').

Caution: It should be noted that not all berries of the Lonicera family are edible.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow honeyberry plants in any moist well drained soil in full sun. Honeyberries are self fertile but planting them in close proximity to one another will improve pollination and increase your crop of tasty fruits.
More Info
Feed and water honeyberry plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Honeyberries should be harvested in June as soon as they are ripe. Lonicera caerulea var. kamtschatica will begin to produce a worthwhile crop from the second or third year after planting. Initially, honeyberry plants will require only minimal pruning for the first three years, trimming out any dead or misplaced stems. Thereafter prune annually after the fruits have been harvested. Reduce stems to a pair of strong buds and cut back a fifth of the oldest stems to ground level to encourage new growth to be produced.
