Description How to Grow More Info Delivery Reviews Video
Lavender 'Heavenly Night' boasts a profusion of slender dark violet flowers with a distinctive fragrance. The narrow, grey-green foliage is highly aromatic and remains evergreen. This robust cross between English lavender and Lavender latifolia was originally developed for the commercial growers as a short cultivar with high yields of Lavender oil. Commonly known as Lavandin, these hybrid plants are certainly garden worthy and make a fine addition to sunny borders. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 70cm (28").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Water regularly throughout summer until lavender plants are fully established. Once established, they are reasonably drought tolerant. Immediately after flowering, prune English lavender back to within 2cm (1") of the previous year’s growth to maintain a compact, well shaped plant.
Grow lavender plants in free draining soil. Choose a position in full sun. Lavenders dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. When growing lavender in large patio containers, use a well drained soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. After planting, prune lavender plants to encourage bushy growth.
