Description

The Daylily is a prized garden specimen; plants are hardy, tough, usually evergreen, and produce luxurious flowers in a rainbow of colours. Daylily 'Atlas' has lemon-yellow flowers, which only last for a day each, but are produced in succession.

Plant Daylilies into cottage garden borders or large patio containers. Hemerocallis are excellent for beginners, small gardens, and will establish and grow quickly. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Culinary note: Try day lily petals in salads, soups or cooked and served as a vegetable. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

2 x 1 litre potted Daylily plants (T58377P)
1 x 1 litre potted Daylily plant (58376)

How to Grow
Plant dayliles in moist, well drained, fertile soil, and situated in full sun. Growing hemerocallis plants in dry soils or shaded conditions may reduce the number of flowers produced.
More Info
For the best performance, keep day lily plants well watered whilst they are in flower and deadhead faded daylily flowers regularly. In autumn remove any old, ragged foliage and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost around the base of daylily plants.
