Description
Hebe rakaiensis has a wonderful rounded habit that forms a low, dense cushion of glossy green foliage. This hardy evergreen shrub is topped with a covering of short, white flower spikes from early summer, which always attract pollinating insects. It’s neat, compact shape lends itself beautifully to oriental planting schemes, rockeries and the front of sunny borders, where it will add year round colour and structure. This RHS AGM variety is particularly useful for coastal or city gardens, given its tolerance for polluted and salt laden air. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 120cm (48").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Hebe plants in moist, well drained, light sandy soil. Avoid planting Hebes on acid soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade and sheltered from strong winds.
More Info
Water well after planting. Once established Hebe plants require little maintenance other than an occasional trim after flowering to maintain the shape of the plant.
