Sowing
Sow in spring where they are to flower in well cultivated soil. Sow thinly 6mm (0.25in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. Clarkias sown in late summer/autumn and overwintered in a frost free greenhouse make excellent spring/summer flowering pot plants.

Thin out seedlings to 30cm (12in) apart.

More Info

Clarkias prefer a deep, rich soil and will grow in sun or part shade. Remove the flower heads as the petals fall to prolong flowering.
