This stunning hardy perennial makes a fabulous border plant! Its graceful, slender stems are topped with a flurry of dazzling white, starry blooms that still look fresh and airy at the end of summer. This bushy, clump forming variety has a neat, compact habit that makes it perfect for the front of sunny borders or edging paths as a mini hedge. Once established, Gaura lindheimeri 'Sparkle White' even copes well during periods of drought. Height and spread: 45cm (18").

Flowering Months
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until Gaura plants are fully established. In autumn, cut back faded Gaura flower stems and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Divide clumps of overcrowded plants in spring.
Pot up Gaura plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to transplant outdoors. Gradually acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days prior to planting out in borders. Grow Gaura plants in a sunny position on moist, well drained soil. Although Gauras prefer full sun and a moist soil, they will also tolerate partial shade and drought once established.

Fantastic low budget plant, forget lavender! 2015-01-02

An absolute must buy!! I bought these as plug plants in early 2013 and grew them on in a cold frame with no problems, I actually planted 3 plugs to a 9cm pot and planted them out mid June, by the end of June I had quite stocky plants that flowered July through to September. I cut them back in September (thinking it would force the roots to grow for winter) and they have so far survived very well (Feb 2015, SE Essex) looking forward to seeing them bloom again this year!! Oh one other bonus, they freely seeded all around where I planted them, some I collected and some I left in the ground.
