How to Grow
This tall marginal aquatic makes a majestic sight planted at the edge of ponds. Upright red stems with palmate foliage are crowned with fluffy domes of tiny pink flowers from July to September. Hemp Agrimony, as it is commonly called, is a delightful native wildflower that is loved by pollinating insects. Eupatorium cannabinum is an excellent hardy perennial for adding height to bog gardens and pond planting schemes. Height: 150cm (59"). Spread: 120cm (48"). Planting depth: Zones 1 & 2 to 10cm (4") below water level.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Grow Eupatorium cannabinum in boggy soils and the shallow margins of ponds, planted with the crown to a maximum depth of up to 10cm (4") below water level. Choose a position in sun or semi-shade.
More Info Eupatorium requires virtually no maintenance. Leave the old stems to die back naturally before removing them as this will aid winter bud formation.
