This hardy evergreen shrub has a variety of uses in the garden; allowed to grow, Euonymus japonicus can be included in a hedge or screen, if kept clipped it can also be used as part of a formal border or bed as it will retain its shape with regular pruning. Evergreen Spindle is also suitable for coastal gardens and can be left alone as a stand-alone shrub too. Height: 400cm (157"). Spread: 200cm (79").

How to Grow

Euonymus plants are versatile, thriving in any soil from light and sandy to heavy clay provided that it is moist and well drained. Euonymus will grow happily in sun or semi shade; however variegation will be improved when grown in a sunny position.

Water well until fully established. Once established, Euonymus plants require little maintenance, except for occasional summer pruning after flowering to maintain the shape of the plant and keep it within its allotted space
