This colourful hardy evergreen brings a permanent splash of colour to the garden. The glossy green leaves are edged with dazzling gold margins that catch and reflect the light - perfect for brightening up those lightly shaded corners of the garden. With maturity, it occasionally produces early summer flowers which are followed by greenish-pink fruits. This fearless shrub is tolerant of sun, partial shade, coastal conditions, and exposed windy locations. Euonymus japonicus 'Ovatus Aureus' is a tough ‘all rounder’ that well deserves its RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 150cm (59").

Euonymus plants are versatile, thriving in any soil from light and sandy to heavy clay provided that it is moist and well drained. Euonymus will grow happily in sun or semi shade; however variegation will be improved when grown in a sunny position.
