Description

One of the most popular Eucalpytus, ‘Baby Blue’ offers dwarf proportions that make it perfectly manageable in small gardens or growing in a patio pot. Its multiple sprays of rounded, silver-blue foliage shimmer in the sunlight, creating fabulous colour, texture and structure. The leaves retain their superb colour even when mature and are intensely aromatic. This compact, multi-branched, evergreen tree provides interest throughout the year, with mature specimens producing small, feathery flowers from late winter to spring. Its contemporary looks work well on a modern patio in a restrained colour scheme, surrounded by contrasting foliage plants, but it also forms a great partner for a riotous display of hot-coloured tropical bedding. The fabulous foliage is prized by florists. Where space is at a premium, Eucalpytus, ‘Baby Blue’ can be easily managed with annual pruning in early spring. Height: 3-4m (10-13ft). Spread: 2.5m (8.2ft).

How to Grow
Plant eucalyptus trees into any fertile, non alkaline, free draining soil that does not dry out. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold winds.

For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.

More Info
Feed and water eucalyptus trees regularly until fully established. Once established, eucalyptus trees are reasonably drought tolerant and will require less attention. Unless it is intended as a specimen tree, Eucalyptus will need regular pruning in early spring to restrict its vigorous growth. Cut back all stems to 3 buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework.
