Description

With maturity, this versatile Snow Gum is forms an attractive small tree of up to 8m (26’). An evergreen canopy of narrow, silver-green foliage provides good year round colour, contrasting beautifully with the stems which are russet red when young. But it’s the flaking bark of this tree that really steals the show, revealing patches of grey, green and cream in a distinctive marbled pattern.

Eucalyptus pauciflora subsp. niphophila is a relatively slow growing species, and easily pruned to restrict its growth, making this a good candidate for growing in large patio containers. This superb Gum tree is perfect for adding an exotic feel to planting schemes and holds an RHS AGM for its garden performance. Height: 8m (26’). Spread: 4m (13’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Eucalyptus in any fertile, non alkaline, free draining soil that does not dry out. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold winds.
More Info
Feed and water eucalyptus trees regularly until fully established. Once established, eucalyptus trees are reasonably drought tolerant and will require less attention. Unless it is intended as a specimen tree, Eucalyptus will need regular pruning in early spring to restrict its vigorous growth. Cut back all stems to 3 buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework.
