Description
Flowering from February right through to midsummer, this hardy perennial well deserves its RHS AGM. Although relatively short lived, Wallflower 'Bowles Mauve' makes up for it in sheer flower power, producing masses of mauve flowers above clumps of grey-green, evergreen foliage. Versatile and undemanding, this tough little Eryisimum copes in even the poorest of soils. Perfect for filling beds and containers with long lasting colour. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Culinary note: The tender young shoots can be cooked and eaten as a vegetable. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant Wallflowers outdoors on free draining soil in full sun. Erysimum plants are tolerant of most neutral or alkaline soils and will even cope well on very poor soils.
More Info
Feed and water plants until they are fully established. Trim back wallflowers after flowering to prevent them from becoming leggy.
