Description
A small compact shrub, Deutzia gracilis 'Nikko' nevertheless is still an excellent impact plant to have in your beds and borders. Racemes of small white flowers appear on this deciduous shrub from late spring onwards, adding a touch of fragrance to your garden as well as colour. The leaves of this low growing variety will often turn to a reddish purple colour with the onset of autumn to add a further touch of interest before winter sets in. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 150cm (59").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

More Info
Feed and water Deutzia plants regularly until fully established. Once established, Deutzia shrubs will require little attention. After flowering, cut back the flowered shoots to a pair of healthy buds. On mature plants, remove a fifth of the oldest shoots from the base of the plant. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
