One of the earlier flowering delphiniums, ‘Blue Jay’ is a Pacific Giant hybrid, boasting tall flower spikes which add height and drama to borders. Each 3” double flower is a vivid blue studded with a dark bee. The flowers are attractive to pollinators and make gorgeous vase specimens. Height up to 1.75cm (70”). Spread: 60cm (24”).

Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds, on moist, well drained soil. Protect young delphiniums from slugs and snails.
More Info Feed and water delphinium plants until they are fully established. Delphinium ‘Magic Fountains’ is a compact variety which should not require staking except on very windy sites. Deadhead faded delphinium flowers to encourage a second flush to be produced. Caution: All parts of delphinium are harmful if eaten and contact with the foliage may irritate the skin and eyes.
