Exactly as the name describes, Chamaecyparis pisifera 'White Pygmy' is a fabulous dwarf conifer reaching just 60cm (24") at maturity. This charming Sawara Cypress is distinctive for its white-tipped sprays of feathery foliage that create beautifully textured, spherical mounds. A superb, slow growing specimen for rockeries, gravel gardens and containers, needing virtually no maintenance once established. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

Grow Cypress trees in moist, well drained soil. Chamaecyparis prefers a neutral or acid soil but does tolerate chalky soils well. Choose a position in full sun.
More Info Once established, Cypress trees require virtually no maintenance. When grown as a hedge, prune Chamaecyparis at any time between late spring and early autumn, taking care not to prune into older wood.
