A great shrub for those who are new to gardening or are looking for an easy to grow, low maintenance specimen plant. Ceanothus are quick-growing, and 'Gloire de Versailles' has a rounded shape, covered in powder-blue flowers over an impressively long summer period.
Ceanothus 'Glorie de Versailles' is as easy to grow shrub, which is drought tolerant and many different types of soil. Bees and butterflies love the sweetly-scented nectar of the lilac blooms too. A holder of a coveted RHS AGM award. Height and Spread: 1.5m (4.9').

Plant Californian Lilac into any fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a position in full sun with shelter from cold, drying winds. Ceanothus may be grown as a free standing specimen or trained against a wall or fence.
More Info During spring each year, trim back the previous year’s flowered stems to within 2 or 3 buds of the woody framework.
