This evergreen sedge is the perfect way to add texture and movement to the front of borders and is ideal for low-maintenance gardens. The fine, arching foliage provides year-round architectural interest, making it a great accent plant. With a neat, clump-forming habit, Carex comans 'Green' is well suited to growing in patio containers or dotted throughout rockeries. This hardy perennial grass is easy to grow in almost any soil and requires virtually no maintenance. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 75cm (30").

How to Grow

Plant Carex into any moist, but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Brilliant for patio containers, mixed with flowering plants, use a John Innes no. 3 soil mixture.

Carex are very easy to maintain; simply comb our any dead and browning foliage during the summer. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Sedge in Spring.
