Description

Calamagrostis is a spectacular, ornamental grass for any mixed garden border. 'Karl Foerster' is a well known border plant, with arching leaves, and bronze feathery panicles during summer.

A useful ornamental grass, which is quick to emerge each spring. Calamagrostis can be planted to form a feathery screen, and is fast-growing and easy to maintain.Height: 1.8m (5.9') Spread: 50cm (19").

How to Grow
Plant Calamagrostis ‘Karl Foerster’ into moist, but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Plants will be tolerate of many different types of soils, apart from very poor soils.

Leave spent flower stems on plants until the following spring; this will ensure added winter interest. Cut back stems in early spring, just before the new growth emerges.
