Description

This delightful assortment of essential herbs is sure to captivate both gardening enthusiasts and culinary aficionados. These versatile plants are simple to cultivate, whether you choose to grow them indoors or outdoors, and they can enhance your garden's aesthetic by introducing a variety of colors, textures, and heights. You have the option to create a dedicated herb bed, where they can thrive together, or to intersperse them throughout your garden for a more eclectic look. For those who love to cook, herbs are invaluable, as they infuse dishes with rich flavors and complexity. Additionally, you can preserve your harvest by freezing or drying the herbs, ensuring that you can enjoy their vibrant taste even during the colder months.

The British Classic Herb Collection features three beloved culinary herbs: Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme.

  • Rosemary - with its fragrant, needle-like leaves, is renowned for its robust flavor, making it a perfect companion for roasted meats and hearty dishes.
  • Sage - characterized by its soft, velvety leaves and earthy aroma, adds a warm, savory note to a variety of recipes, particularly in stuffing and sauces.
  • Thyme - with its delicate, tiny leaves and subtle, minty flavor, is a versatile herb that enhances everything from soups to stews and even roasted vegetables. Together, these herbs not only elevate the taste of your meals but also bring a touch of traditional British cuisine to your kitchen, inviting you to explore a world of flavors and culinary creativity.

How to Grow
Pot up herb plants and grow them on in frost free conditions. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days. The herbs in this collection will grow best in full sun on any well drained soil. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to improve its structure and fertility prior to planting. Mint can be extremely vigorous. Where space is limited, plant it in a container to restrict its spread. When growing herbs, ensure that they are planted within easy reach of the kitchen.

For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.

More Info
Feed and water herb plants regularly. Harvest leaves regularly to encourage fresh new growth.
