Description
Commonly known as Elephant’s Ears, this reliable perennial is a familiar sight in cottage garden borders. Bergenia 'Pink Ice' is a particularly pretty hybrid variety. It’s orange-pink, upright flower stems are borne in early spring, topped with clusters of blush-pink flowers. The glossy, rounded foliage forms a neat clump at the front of borders, providing evergreen colour throughout the year. This reliable hardy perennial is well-loved for being undemanding, and easy to grow. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant Elephant’s Ears in any well-drained soil in sun or dappled shade. Bergenia will cope with clay soils very well too.
More Info
After flowering, remove the faded flowerheads of Bergenia. Cut off any damaged foliage as it occurs too, to keep plants tidy. Lift and divide clumps in spring.
