Add height and colour to borders with this upright deciduous Barberry. As the name suggests, Berberis thunbergii 'Golden Rocket' has a narrow columnar habit that remains compact and manageable, in even the smallest of borders. The pale yellow flowers emerge in spring against bright golden foliage, followed by rounded scarlet berries. As summer ends, this resilient shrub turns to vibrant shades of orange, in a fabulous autumn display. Like all of its species, Berberis thunbergii 'Golden Rocket' is tough, resilient and easy to grow. Height: 150cm (60"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant Berberis in full sun or partial shade, on a reliably moist, well-drained soil. Barberry plants are extremely resilient and will grow on many different soil types, except waterlogged.
More Info To keep hedges in good shape, trim back lightly after flowering each year. You should also remove dead, diseased or damaged growth. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
