1 packet (50 begonia seeds) (26010)

Sowing
Sow seed on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or seal the container inside a polythene bag at a temperature of 25C (75F) until after germination which usually takes 14-28 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.Caution: Dust-like seeds. To open, hold over a sheet of white paper, cut along three sides of inner pack and carefully open out flat. Tap the packet gently to dislodge seed.

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow on in cool and well lit conditions. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 23-30cm (9-12in) apart.
