Description

Imagine growing two different varieties of apple on one tree. Even better - this compact little apple tree will fit on your patio or balcony! Our novel duo fruit trees are perfect for small spaces and make excellent container plants. Two varieties are grafted onto one stem to create the perfect partnership which will pollinate each other to produce good crop yields. Despite being dwarf trees, the fruits will be of normal size. Duo Apple combines two dessert varieties, 'Elstar' and 'James Grieve', both with a fabulous, sweet flavour. If grown in containers, these naturally dwarf trees will reach a mature height of just 1.5-1.8m.

  • Apple rootstocks:
  • M27 - Extreme dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 1.5m (5')
  • M9/ Pajam 9/ P22/ P9 - Dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 2.5m (8')
  • M26 - Dwarf reaching a mature height of 2.5-3m (8-10')
  • M6/ M7 - Semi dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 3m (10')
  • MM106 - Semi dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 4m (13')
  • MM111 - Vigorous reaching a mature height of 4m (13') to 4.5m (15')

This variety is self-fertile and does not require a pollination partner.

Estimated time to cropping once planted: 2 years.
Estimated time to best yields: 4 years.
