Description
This stunning Alkanet makes a beautiful choice for cottage garden borders and wildlife areas, where its azure blue flowers will attract bees and other pollinators. Loose sprays of small flowers are borne on upright stems above clumps of hairy foliage. The leaves are somewhat coarse and best hidden from view between the ranks of other lower growing perennials. However the flowers are simply stunning and make a great addition to summer bouquets. . The blooms of Anchusa azurea 'Dropmore' are edible - perfect for freezing into ice cubes or sprinkling over salads! Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 30cm (12").
