Spectacular displays of intricate star-shaped white flowers form in mid-spring with attractive leaves that unfold red, turning mid-green in summer, then beautiful shades of yellow before falling in autumn. A very versatile, low maintenance and unproblematic tree for smaller spaces, with pruning only necessary if required, which can be carried out after flowering. Height: 6m (20'). Spread: 4m (13').

The autumn foliage colours of Amelanchier will be at their best when grown in full sun. Plant into a moist, but well-drained soil, which can be neutral to acidic. Can be grown as a free-standing specimen tree or trained as a hedge.
More Info Amelanchier are maintenance-free, and will only need pruning to keep them in good shape, or to remove any dead, diseased or dying growth.
