Flowering Months
Throughout the growing season, water Peruvian lilies regularly and feed container grown plants each month. When picking alstroemeria pluck the flowers rather than cutting as plucking stimulates the rhizome encourage further growth. In autumn, cut back the old Alstroemeria flower stems and apply a dry mulch of chipped bark or straw to the base of the plant to protect it from cold winter weather. Alstroemeria prefers to be left undisturbed but can be divided in autumn or spring if clumps become overcrowded.Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
Pot up Alstroemeria plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, plant Peruvian Lilies in a sunny or semi shaded position in fertile, moist, well drained soil. Alternatively, plant Alstroemeria in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.

Indian Summer Extraordinaire! 2016-05-13

These are by far the best plants I have ever bought form T&M. They may look disappointing when you receive them, but after 2 years each small plant had formed a clump 45cm wide, flowering endlessly from May to December - and that's with picking a bunch a week for use as cut flowers - make sure you pull the stems from the roots when picking as this encourages even more growth! They also require very little care and attention and are very hardy. They are already massive this year and covered in buds. Well done guys.

Alstromeria Indian Summer 2014-10-18

These plants took a while to get going. They were put in an area of my garden that gets sun till approx 1pm. While other plants were blooming these just seem to sit there with little happening. However in august they started to really grow and since september they have bloomed spectacularly and lots more blooms on the way. Will definately get more, would highly recommend

Alstromeria Indian Summer 2013-10-22

I planted the Indian Summer in May of this year and it has took a while to establish, flowering on only one stem by July. However it is now nearing the end of October and has really took off with multiple blooms on six or seven stems and is looking gorgeous, so much so that I'm just about to order three more to plant next spring. A great choice for beautiful colour from summer into autumn.
