Aloe vera is an easy to grow house plant that needs the minimum of care. It is best known for its ability to soothe burns and scalds with its cooling sap. This slow growing succulent has plump, grey-green, fleshy foliage with toothed edges that form a wide rosette over time. Aloe makes a handsome plant for a bright, sunny position, and a useful accompaniment to your first aid cabinet! Height and spread: 90cm (36").

How to Grow

Aloe enjoys a bright position with a constant temperature of 21C (70F) to 26C (80F) where it will receive plenty of indirect light, but not full sun.

Water frequently to maintain evenly moist compost. Avoid leaving Aloe in standing water as this may cause it to rot. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth.
