Description

A fabulous duo of two compact Agapanthus varieties to bring summer colour and structure to the garden. From mid to late summer, large, spherical blooms are carried above clumps of semi-evergreen, strap-like foliage on sturdy stems that don’t require staking. Tough, fast-growing and low maintenance, these reliable perennials make stylish container plants, or plant them in bold groups in sunny borders where they will provide a long-lasting display. The large spherical blooms are also magnificent in cut flower displays.

Agapanthus Duo comprises the following varieties:

  • Agapanthus ‘Blue Storm’ - A neat, compact cultivar boasting more stems than traditional varieties, and blooming for up to 3 weeks longer. Masses of soft violet flowers are carried on stiff stems. Height: 76cm (30"). Spread: 50cm (20").
  • Agapanthus ‘Twister’ – Stunning variety with huge globes composed of crystal white flutes turning inky blue at the tips. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

More Info
Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
