How to Grow
Agapanthus 'Charlotte' has a neat, compact habit - large enough to create a showy feature, but not so tall that it looks leggy! Rounded heads of deep blue, star-shaped flowers are produced in abundance throughout the summer months, often extending into early autumn. The nectar rich blooms are loved by pollinating insects. This reliable perennial is well suited to patio containers or positioned towards the front of sunny borders. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 .
More Info Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
