Description
How to Grow
A deciduous shrub, forming clusters of bell-shaped, rose-pink flowers that open in spring, right the way through to early summer. Green foliage with serrate margins provide a wonderful backdrop to the flowers and retain good colour throughout the growing season. Weigela florida 'Korea' is dense and rounded in shape, spreading wider than it gets tall, which performs best in full sun. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 4m (12').

Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Weigela requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
