Description
A groundcover semi-evergreen perennial that forms a dense mat of shiny purple-green leaves that somewhat resemble those of a strawberry. Waldsteinia ternate are shade loving plants and from early spring until late summer, small yellow saucer-shaped flowers appear. Uses vary from covering large or small areas as these plants spread steadily but are not considered invasive. Once established, Waldsteinia become drought tolerant and, if a mild winter is forecast, may remain evergreen too. Height: 10cm (4"). Spread: 100cm (39").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant out Waldsteinia into any moist, well drained soil in full or partial shade. Waldsteinia are generally tough plants and will thrive in most conditions provided the soil isn't dry, until at least they are established when they will start to become drought tolerant.
More Info
Feed and water Waldsteinia plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Waldsteinia require only occasional attention.
