Flowering Months

Vitex agnus-castus f. latifolia is a large, spreading, deciduous shrub with fine, lacy, glossy green leaves which are lightly scented. Branched sprays of purple-blue fragrant flowers appear on the ends of the branches in early to mid-autumn. Reasonably cold hardy and deer-resistant and has also been awarded a prestigious RHS AGM. Height & Spread: 8m (26').

How to Grow

Plant out Vitex into any moist, well drained soil in full sun. Vitex are generally tough plants and will thrive in most conditions provided the soil isn't dry. In frost prone areas, shelter from cold, drying winds.

Feed and water Vitex plants regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established. Once established, Vitex require only occasional attention. Prune annually for a more compact look.
