Description
Straight from T&M’s own breeding by Charles Valin. Sweet Pea 'Three Times As Sweet' is the first cultivated, Modern Grandiflora tri-colour Stripe variety available. Bred from Lathyrus odoratus x Lathyrus belinensis cross and thus Lathyrus x hammettii hybrid. The marbled blooms blend lavender-blue, burgundy and white to create a truly eye-catching display. Offering plenty of that distinctive fragrance that only Sweet Peas can deliver – just perfect for cutting for sweetly-scented posies! Grow this climbing annual against a trellis or over an obelisk for a sensational summer display. Height: 1.8m (6’). Spread: 30cm (12”).

Supplied as deep-rooted plugs with an average of 5 sweet pea plants per plug. Pinched and ready for planting straight out.

3 sweet pea premium multisown plugs (15 plants) (KB7701)
6 sweet pea premium multisown plugs (30 plants) (KB7702)

How to Grow
Pot up and grow sweet pea plants on in cool, bright conditions until large enough to transplant outdoors. Pinch out the growing tips of sweet pea plants while they are still small, to encourage bushy growth. When plants are well grown transplant them outdoors into any fertile, well drained garden soil in full sun or semi-shade.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. When growing sweet peas it is essential to cut the flower stems frequently and deadhead faded blooms to prevent seedpods developing. This will encourage more blooms to be produced and extend the flowering period throughout summer.

Caution: Seeds are harmful if eaten.
