Philadelphus ‘Petite Perfume White’ is a compact, mound-forming variety that will happily grow in a container, tolerates drought once established and even thrives in partial shade. From May to July, it bears masses of pure-white, four-petalled flowers with yellow stamens set against a background of dark green deciduous foliage. The blooms possess a sweet, orange-blossom fragrance that will fill the garden and attract a host of beneficial pollinators. A tough but beautiful, low-maintenance shrub that copes with challenging locations such as coastal gardens, air pollution and dry banks. It adapts to a wide range of soils from chalk to heavy clay. Suitable for planting as a border specimen, container shrub or hedging. Height and spread: 1.5m (5ft).
