Description

Pure white, semi double flowers mature to a delicate pink blush or palest powder blue, depending on your soil pH. Even as the large rounded blooms fade, this elegant variety creates a splash of autumn colour as the leaves turn to red and yellow. Hydrangea macrophylla 'The Bride' makes a superb specimen plant in borders or containers, and adds a touch of class to bridal bouquets as a spectacular cut flower.

Part of the 'Endless Summer' range, these unique reblooming Hydrangeas are neat and compact, flowering constantly throughout summer from May to September. With a sturdy growth habit, 'Endless Summer' Hydrangeas show good disease resistance particularly to mildew. Height and spread: 180cm (6').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Hydrangea macrophylla prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively plant hydrangea macrophylla in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
More Info
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: Contact with hydrangea foliage may irritate the skin and eyes and all parts are harmful if eaten.
