Description
Honeysuckle ‘Celestial’ is a particularly beautiful new Lonicera with a heavenly fragrance. Whorls of tubular apricot flowers open from rosy pink buds that stand out nicely from the dark green foliage. This deciduous, twining climber is neat and compact making it ideal for planting in containers or wherever space is limited. Try growing it over an obelisk in sunny borders for a fabulous cottage garden feel. Better still, the modern cultivar shows improved resistance to mildew over traditional varieties. Height: 300cm (118"). Spread: 200cm (79").

How to Grow
Plant honeysuckle against a suitable, sturdy support such as trellis or strong wires attached to walls and pergolas, in fertile, moist, free draining soil. Poor soils can be improved by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost. Choose a position in sun or semi-shade. When growing honeysuckle in patio containers, use soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
More Info
Feed and water Lonicera plants regularly until they are fully established. Trim hedging specimens as required during the summer, and again in autumn.
