Description

This sizzling perennial sunflower comes in fiery shades of burnt orange which will keep you feeling sunny even on overcast days. The daisy-like flowers blaze above neat mounds of bronze-black foliage, which makes a handsome feature even before the blooms appear. From midsummer, Heliopsis ‘Luna Roja’ is smothered in flowers – the performance continuing for many weeks into September. It provides masses of nectar for beneficial pollinators and makes a great choice for bee-friendly gardens. The blooms are good for cutting and their dark, sturdy stems have a long vase life.

Plant ‘Luna Roja’ in containers to radiate tropical heat around your patio seating or add it to hot-themed borders where its sweltering colours will create an Indian summer whatever the weather. Height: 45cm (18in). Spread: 40cm (16in).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
