Description

Gaura lindheimeri 'Cherry Brandy' is a charming perennial that adds a touch of elegance and vibrant color to any garden setting. With its slender, wiry stems, this plant showcases an abundance of cherry-pink, star-shaped flowers that create a delightful spectacle. The blooms emerge in late spring and continue to flourish through autumn, providing a long season of visual interest. As the delicate flowers sway gently in the breeze, they impart a light and airy quality, making them a captivating addition to borders and containers alike.

The foliage of 'Cherry Brandy' is equally appealing, featuring narrow green leaves that form a loose, bushy mound. This lush greenery serves as a perfect backdrop for the striking pink flowers, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the plant. Its informal growth habit makes it an excellent choice for prairie-style gardens, mixed borders, and other relaxed planting schemes, where it can blend seamlessly with other perennials and ornamental grasses.

In terms of care, Gaura lindheimeri 'Cherry Brandy' thrives in full sun and prefers well-draining soil, making it a low-maintenance option for gardeners. Once established, it demonstrates impressive resilience, tolerating drought conditions and poorer soil types. This hardiness, combined with its stunning visual appeal, makes 'Cherry Brandy' a fantastic choice for those looking to add a splash of color and movement to their outdoor spaces.

Height: 60 cm (2 ft). Spread: 45 cm (1.5 ft).

How to Grow
Grow Gaura plants in a sunny position on moist, well drained soil. Although Gauras prefer full sun and a moist soil, they will also tolerate partial shade and drought once established.

For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.

More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until Gaura plants are fully established. In autumn, cut back faded Gaura flower stems and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Divide clumps of overcrowded plants in spring.
