Fuchsia 'Deluxe Giant Marbled' Collection
3 Options From£9.99 (was £11.99)
A brand new strain of edible fuchsia berry from Thompson & Morgan's own breeding programme. Not only does the FUCHSIABERRY produce large sweet fruits packed with vitamin C and nutrients, it also produces beautiful blooms right through to autumn.
This fuchsia plant is the perfect addition to garden displays, but the heavy fruit yields make the Fuchsia Berry a worthwhile addition to allotments too, helping to create a pretty and productive plot! Though frost tender, the FUCHSIABERRY can be kept through winter if protected in a sheltered spot or in a greenhouse.
The fruits have a flavour somewhere between a fig and a kiwi. Each plant will produce up to 300 delicious juicy berries, FUCHSIABERRY is partially self-fertile and will crop without a pollination companion; but for the heaviest crops it is best grown with other fuchsias.
Unlike other Fuchsia varieties it will keep on flowering even when producing fruit - right up to the first frost. The FUCHSIABERRY is set to change allotments and flower borders in the UK. Height 90cm (36"). Spread: 45cm (18").
Culinary note: Add the beautiful coloured flowers to salads, crystallise them for a sweet garnish or add them to jellies for an extra splash of colour. For more details about edible flowers click here.
