Description
This vigorous, upright shrub boasts colourful variegated foliage with bright gold margins. The evergreen leaves are glossy and resplendent, bringing year-round colour and interest to the garden. In autumn, Elaeagnus x ebbingei 'Viveleg' produces small white flowers that are insignificant to look at but produce a light fragrance. This hardy shrub is tough and reliable making a useful screening plant, hedge or stand-alone specimen, even in challenging coastal locations. Height: 250cm (98”). Spread: 200cm (78”).

How to Grow
Grow Elaeagnus shrubs in any type of soil, as long as it is well-drained. Although plants can be a little discoloured on chalky soils. Elaeagnus can tolerate an exposed, coastal position, or very dry soil, and is very hardy.

Plants do not require very much care, simply prune them after flowering to shape, and remove any dead or damaged growth.
