Description

Reduce musty smells and moulds in the home with this De-humidifying House Plant Collection. We’ve selected a variety of easy-care foliage plants for their de-humidifying and air-purifying properties, creating a stylish arrangement of contrasting foliage shapes and colours whilst improving the air quality in your home.

De-humidifying House Plant Collection comprises the following varieties:

  • Asplenium nidus - An ideal choice for shadier rooms, north or east-facing windowsills or bathrooms, this tough fern is an undemanding houseplant. Asplenium nidus bears bright green, sword-like fronds with prominent black midribs. Fresh young fronds are continually produced from the basal rosette, replacing older leaves. Its clean outlines are elegantly simple. Maximum height: 1.5m (60in). Spread: 1m (40in).
  • Epipremnum aureum - Commonly known as Devil’s Ivy, Epipremnum aureum is a fabulous leafy climber or trailing houseplant. The long stems are cloaked in luxuriant, glossy foliage patterned with irregular golden streaks. This vigorous house plant climbs using aerial roots to cling to its supports. It will swiftly scale a moss pole to create a lush, tropical-looking feature that takes up little floor space. Epipremnum is a tough plant that prefers a shaded spot and doesn’t mind if you forget to water it now and again! Height: 150cm (59"). Spread: 250cm (98").
  • Aloe vera - Aloe vera is an easy-to-grow house plant that needs the minimum of care. This slow-growing succulent has plump, grey-green, fleshy foliage with toothed edges that form a wide rosette over time. Makes a handsome plant for a bright, sunny position. Height and spread: 90cm (36").

How to Grow
Position house plants in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). Choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of strong sun.

For more information and guidance check out our Gardening Guides.

More Info
Water freely between spring and autumn using rainwater where possible, and allow the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth.
