Chrysanthemum 'Aluga White' lights up the autumn garden with profusions of white double blooms 6cm across. The long-lasting flowers, which are tinged yellow at the centre, are held above a rounded, bushy mound of aromatic dark green foliage. Perfect for cutting, this elegant Chrysanthemum makes a great low-maintenance bedding plant that will take centre stage just as the garden’s summer colours begin to fade. 'Aluga White' is a reasonably hardy cultivar that should survive the winter outdoors in most regions, especially if a thick mulch is applied in late autumn. Height: 75cm (30in). Spread: 50cm (20").

How to Grow

Plant Chrysanthemums out in borders and containers in fertile, well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun.

Water regularly until hardy chrysanthemums are fully established. In late autumn the application of a deep mulch will help to protect the crowns of the plants over winter. Leave the flowered stems intact until spring as these will also offer some winter protection. In very cold areas overwinter plants in a greenhouse.
