Description
Camassia leichtlinii subsp. suksdorfii Caerulea Group - don’t let the long name put you off! This bulbous perennial is exceptionally elegant. Its slender spires of starry, violet blue flowers rise above neat clumps of strap-like foliage. This regal beauty makes a lovely choice for a damp border, or naturalised in flower meadows. Perfect for bridging the gap between spring bulbs and summer perennials. Height: 130cm (51"). Spread: 10cm (4").

How to Grow
Plant Camassia bulbs at a depth of around 15cm (6in) in reliably moist, fertile soil in sun or semi shade. Avoid planting them in soil which becomes waterlogged over winter. If necessary, improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost.
More Info
Camassia plants require little maintenance but will appreciate a dry mulch of chipped bark or leaf mould in late autumn to protect the bulbs from winter cold. When growing camassia in grassy meadows, allow the foliage to die back completely before mowing.
